The online barcode reader uses an ActiveX control to read barcodes from image files (TIF, JPG, BMP, GIF and PNG). Please note that you will need to give permission for your system to install the control onto your system. This process will add a single file, called SoftekBarcodeWeb.ocx to your Windows system folder. The control is signed and will be downloaded from our secure web server. To remove the control from your system simply delete the SoftekBarcodeWeb.ocx file.
